A 30-day residential treatment curriculum
A complete program of study for a 30-day residential treatment program, written as a facilitator manual so clinical staff can deliver it without a separate train-the-trainer cycle.
Measurement built in from the start
Every session carries explicit learning objectives written across Bloom's taxonomy, from Remember through Create. A standardised assessment battery runs at admission, midpoint, and discharge: PHQ-9, GAD-7, BAM, DERS, and CPAQ. Objectives map to instruments, so the program reports on change rather than attendance.
This is the part most curricula leave until after launch, and it is the reason the program can answer whether it worked.
Organised by modality, not by day
Content sits under its parent therapeutic approach rather than re-explaining each method every time it appears. The curriculum covers CBT, DBT, ACT, EMDR psychoeducation, somatic and mindfulness practice, addiction neurobiology and medication-assisted treatment, sleep hygiene, relapse prevention, interpersonal dynamics and codependency, pluralistic recovery pathways, and expressive therapies. A full 30-day schedule grid sequences them across the admission-to-discharge cycle.
One content base, three audiences
A one-day client workshop, SPARK, was derived from the same material and published as three separate documents: a participant workbook, a presenter script, and standalone clinical guidance. Same content, three different jobs, three different registers. The three SPARK documents are available on request rather than posted here.
Documents
-
Facilitator manual (excerpt)
Twenty pages from the 149-page manual: the full table of contents, the program framework, and two complete CBT sessions shown end to end so the session format is visible. Every session carries Bloom-levelled objectives and the assessment that evidences them.
-
30-day schedule grid
How forty-two sessions, rolling admission and thirty days are reconciled: an arrival track, a four-week rotating cycle a client joins wherever it happens to be, and a departure track.
-
Objective and assessment map
The five-instrument battery with what each measures and when it runs, the deliverables a client must produce to complete the program, and the index of all forty-two sessions. This is where the program answers whether it worked.
-
Materials and handouts (excerpt)
Fourteen pages from the companion volume of client-facing worksheets: the contents of the full booklet, the arrival block, and the CBT handouts that accompany the two sessions in the manual excerpt.
